The Hysterical Wargammer Vol #1, No. 2
On Thursday June 29, the Gettysburg Wargamers took a break from the campaign trail and played Gods during a summer picnic and hill making party with frienda and family.
Yours truly cut up several sheets of Styrofoam insulation to recreate the topography for his Antietam—Burnside Bridge game coming up at the end of July. Chris and his son worked on several sheets recreating Mt. Suribachi for an Iwo Jima game in the future. Bill, our host and fearless leader, cut up several leftover pieces to augment his collection of terrain features. Josh did the same. Pete was the only one who was not actively engaged as a God, but you could say that he was preparing the Food of the Gods – he was in charge of the barbeque grill. A good time was had by all.
Lastly, a big thank you goes out to Jamie, Bill’s wife, for permitting us to have the picnic and providing salads and such.
