Mr. John ran a fantastic Pulp fiction game, featuring three heroic ships(The San Pablo, The Sea Knight, and a small steamer), and their crews attempting to capture Dr. Phoo at his island base on Monkey Island. The Island was protected by Dr. Phoo’s fleet consisting of 2 massive dragon ships (The Dragon and The China Doll) and a Ram Ship (The Phug).
On the first turn the Heroes vessels took a heavy beating from the rocket batteries on Monkey Island. Unhindered the ships pressed forward as the evil Dr. Phoo’s fleet maneuvered into position to great the attacking ships.
On the Second turn the Rocket Men scrambled to the deck of the San Pablo and prepared for take off. The San Pablo under the command of Admiral Bob pounded on the rocket batteries of Monkey Island with the aid of The Sea Knight under the command of Chris. Mr. Bill lost one of his rocket batteries, but not before dealing further damage to the Heroes Vessels. Meanwhile the Streamer with Billy Ray at the helm began to Engage the Admiral Rob’s China Doll.
The Third Turn Mr. Bill’s Flying Monkeys took off from Monkey Island amd were promptly intercepted by The Rocket Men led by yours truly. The heroic vessels continued to pelt the island and the China Doll as Billy Rays Steamer was rammed by the China Doll and Boarded. The Evil Chinese ships the Phug and the Dragon under the command of Woody and Jack respectively maneuvered into better positions to strike the enemy.
From here the rest of the game becomes a blur of fighting as Billy Ray gallantly repelled the filthy minions of the evil Dr. Phoo from his ship. The Rocket men and the Flying Monkeys engaged in a vicious turn spanning battle with the Monkeys first throwing poison Gas and then attacking the Rocket men in hand to hand combat. The Monkeys killed quite a few of the galant Rocket Men before being completely wiped out. The Sea Knight’s contingent of Samurai boarded and quickly annihilated the remainder of Rob’s Force on the China Doll.
In the end the China Doll was sunk and the Phug was captured with Dr Phoo escaping to the still heavily defeneded Monkey Island. At the End of the night it was a minor Heroic victory but a few more turns may have been to a different turn as the Heroic forces were almost completely spend while the Dragon was still relatively unscathed and Monkey Island still held Dr. Phoo’s Personal Guard and a Troop of German ZepplinTrupen.
